She is a big kid now

Sage rode her first ride last weekend at Worlds of Fun.............first ride with no parent................My heart was in my throat the whole time....LOL. She had a blast riding with Maddie and Kael got to ride with baby smaller then Sage but older ( Have I mentioned my ginormous off the Charts daughther??? ) I know .........I know, I am a week behind in pictures . This week was CRAZY.........first it was Red Ribbon week so Monday it decorating his shoes, Tuesday he could not go to school due to Asthma then I ended up in the pharmacy for 1.5 hours waiting on predisone, Weds he was to wear a Fav team Jersey but we don't have one........should have got a Tar Heel one ( Please note I am not a Carolina fan.....never have never will but I hate Kansas Jayhawks more and would love to get their goat ) Thurs it was shades but his teacher had those that said Say no to drugs and we got into the Dr.

His Dr upped his Inhaled steroid ( Flovent ) from 44mcg to 110 mcg this is suppose to prevent him from having asthma related coughing when he catches a cold...........he stays on 2 puffs twice a day for a week and then back to a normal 2 puffs once a day. He finally "broke" Thurs and he is still hacking it up ( Thank You God...........he sounds awful but it is sweet music to my ears ).

Thursday evening the girls and me headed to Target to hopefully find a Hannah Montana costume for Maddie and a white sweat suit for Kael so I could make him "Diary of a Wimpy Kid " for Book parade Friday. Please note if your child is behaving Badly all October and her punishment is no getting a costume until she is good go ahead and buy the costume before the stores run out............I did not and we could not find one anywhere............but my sometimes good natured child sucked it up and said she would be a fairy if she could have pink hair.

Now to anybody who ever doubted that "We are that Family " ......I drew stick figure legs and arms on a pair of white long johns ( there are no white sweat suits anywhere ), sent Kael to school with a pair of shorts and T shirt over the long johns for the parade.............Daddy picked Kael up from school ( The girls were at Maddie's Fall festival ) and that boy came home in just Long Johns........yes my son walked around school all day in long underwear and no one said a thing.

What a weekend....

So Friday Maddie ran no more temp, running nose gone and cough gone.............was that her bodies last hurrah saying get your virus butt out of here?? Very Strange.............So Saturday we went to Worlds of Fun for the Fall Fest since everyone seemed on the mend.....but of no..........Sunday Kael would not stop coughing....no longer productive so I could not tell if it was Asthma Cough or just Irritation from all the Flovent ...........so we went and they gave him a AA breathing treatment, dose of predisone, dose of Tylenol 3 and Antibiotic..........his stats were good and lungs clear seems to be upper resp infection so as of today his cough was productive and he seems better.....3 more days of antibiotics ..............hopefully I get some goodie bags done tomorrow........Oh crap I forgot Sage had her teeth cleaned today and she hated it, hated me, just pure 100% hate................but 12 good strong teeth that now get a reg toothbrush with reg toothpaste and we see them again in 6 months..............Oh what Joy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

U gotta be friggin kidding me.......

She is sick again.....or did she ever get better? or is this from the Flu Mist?........Butttttttttt shes running a temp.....croupy......snotty.....complaining of pain.....and moaning and groaning......so she misses her field trip to the Fire Station tomorrow and shes devastated..............so prayers would be nice and hopefully we can get her seen tomorrow.........Pray

Most are over the "gunk" .....Maddie and Me got Flu Misted yesterday.....Sage got one of the last shots ( they ran out fast ) so Whoo Hoo.....Then we had Maddies Dance show for the Parents.....I was very Proud ( mostly surprised) that she was actually doing ( trying hard ) what the teacher told her.....usually if someone else starts doing their own thing ( which they did, quite a few ) she follows quickly but she focused......Yeah Maddie. Kael's Counselor called last night to get me to sign permission slips for him to get OT.....She said the OT had already been observing him in class and she was anxious to get started with him........I don't know how to take that......and of course the skies opened today so me and Maddie tried to keep umbrellas over all of us but we got soaked .....Sage loved the rain though.....kept looking up.....all I could think of was a chicken drowning......LOL..... Off to La La Land.

So Friday we had Kael's "picnic" basically parents having lunch with the students......it was suppose to be outside but it was chilly so we were all crammed in the Lunch room......To start there was a Funeral procession that was suppose to be starting for a 23 year old killed last week in Afghanistan .....so sad but it makes you proud to be a part of this country when you see the Patriot Guard waiting to escort the procession onto post, all those people on motorcycles with the flags flying behind them is a sight to see......then to see the streets lined with people ( Students,soldiers and civilians ) Waving flags......So Sad. I hope to get some photos of the cemetery on post, not only is it beautiful but it takes your breath.......Soon I promise. I loved getting to see some of Kael's work and projects but I see ( better now) what his teacher is concerned about.......compared to his peers Kael's work is sloppy and all over the place.....example they were to draw a Farm and while others had Barns and Animals ......Kael's was more alot of crayon scribbles......Hopefully we hear something about OT soon.

Sage is sick with the Gunk too.....oh and they shared the gunk with me too.....How sweet !!!! Sage is very mild case and I'll recover soon ( but not w/o lots of drama since I still have this %^&*(#@! Rash ) So hopefully in the next few days I will get more photos taken ( I have been so lazy ) and get everyone better ??? Have a great "rest" of the weekend......

Sitting with Kael at Maddie's Dance class today....I showed him my thumb was cracking.....he says you need some Heel Balm.....it heals cracks and dry skin....it comes in a stick and if you order now you will get a free bonus....all for the low price of 19.99 plus shipping and handling but order now.......hmmmm a little too much Qubo for that kid ( FYI......Qubo is a 24 hour cartoon channel on analog TV......that is full of infomercials) Kael is now on 4 puffs of Flovent which hopefully won't last long.....Maddie has a awful cough.....she was in the ER Monday....everything closes here on Holidays....they think she was getting a Ear Infection but they think she has strep so she's on antibiotics and pain killers. Sage is still symptom free.....and Kael just has cough....so he was probably the carrier......Hmmm. I am tired and itchy ( stupid rash???? just wish it would go away ) so off to bed.........Say some prayers for Granny, she goes to the Dr tomorrow and we hope her meds get adjusted to make her back to "normal" .

I got all the stuff to the consignment sale on time.......went to the preview sale the next night and got some great bargins......Made it to half price night and got some crazy deals .....so far Happy......That night get a e-mail saying their system has crashed and while they know what has sold we won't .....so today when we had to pick up our unsold stuff we were basically having to search it all and then you still don't know if what your missing sold, is still there and got donated cause you could not find it or they misplaced it....I think the girl running it is way over her head and needs to hire people who know what they are doing. So we will see ....before the site crashed I was up to $198 profit but I still have alot of stuff unaccounted for....Hmmmmm.

On other news......Me, Maddie and Sage still have not gotten a Flu Shot ....they ran out.....WoNDERFUL .......I can't even imagine what H1N1 shots are gonna be like...LOL. We had our first freeze last night......then flurries and 42 today........just friggin cold......I swear Kael has grown 3 to 4 inches this week.....Sage still toddles along repeating everything and eating most if not all food you put in front of her.....Maddie still can not remember any of her classmates name...even the one who calls her her BFF....UGH. All Summer clothes are in storage....winter has been pulled out......Maddie got some new boots from Target....cute.....there were none in Sage's size......Kael got his Birthday gift from Aunt Jan and Uncle David and him and Daddy broke it in less then a hour .....ahem......but they are trying to fix it......Made stew tonight .....Maddie refused to eat it so she went to bed hungry and Kael proclaimed it was the WORSE STEW EVER..and begged for me to never make it again.....LOL. Its a 3 day weekend .......hopefully I'll be back to blogging more then once a week now ..........Ya'll have a great weekend.
