So this week during our walk with just me and Sage ( the other 2 were too tired.....whatever) we go down and street and come across 3 other children. Very outgoing, I knew their ages ( 5,5,and6 ) and names in seconds and they showed me toys, asked about my kids, etc. So about 5 mins and there are no adults around.....in the front yard....on a street and they are talking to a stranger ( me ).......I would never be comfortable with Kael and Maddie playing in the front yard unsupervised even for 5 mins.....am I weird or are they the new norm???

I got Sage in for her 12 month check up on Tuesday.....shes 98% all around .....and then we went to the social which was moved to the bowling ally due to us getting 9 inches of rain on Monday and then it rained again Tuesday...and Weds....not today though, it quit last night...LOL. The kids had a blast bowling.....so yes we will have to go back. Today Maddie had to have her physical done for school and then we had her Open House at her pre school......I hope the teacher is more calm, or she was just very nervous tonight.......but she talked ALOT about "documenting" and unrully behavior and not having sick children and class and how this is all state requirements, ETC...I walked away thinking they have just been visited by the state board since everything was worded Per the state board .....hopefully things get better and more relaxed. After a dinner of Chinese Buffet ( there are no good ones here, we have gone to 2 and there are only 3 here ) we came home to remove all from Kael's room....his Bunk bed ( his Birthday Present) will be delivered tomorrow, he has no school due to Parent/teacher conference's. Hope Ya'll have a great weekend

Went to MO today ( 30 min to the nearest party city, used to be 3 min .....I miss the big city....LOL)
to get Kael's B Day invites......week ago he said Star Wars.....4 days ago Bakugan......yesterday Indiana Jones ( where in **%$# that one came from ya got me ) today he picked out Pokemon .......I wanted Star Wars but its not my party .....so we got invitations which I will work on all day tomorrow to make sure they go to his class by Monday.....inviting all 21 of his classmates plus we have a social Tuesday with Brian's class ( who says social??? really its a pizza party at a park for us all to get to meet, spouses and kids, the guys have been together a week they better know each other by now....LOL) so if he clicks with any kids there I will invite them too. It will be mostly outside games, snacks, Wii and cake and ice cream so the more the merrier to get to know each other. So afterwards we went to Shoe Carnival....Kael needs good shoes, for gym plus its time for that kid to learn to tie so BYE BYE....character shoes and Velcro...he picked out Addias and since it was BOGO half off Maddie got a pair of Sketchers ( good arch support, I was very impressed and with her flat foot she needs it ) and Sage got a pair of sketchers too ( plus we got socks at Target, that baby has some stinky feet.....has ruined her little stride rite tennies ).

So Friday we got both kids into the system here ( CYS ) so they can now do rec and sports on post....so starting Sept Kael has JUDO on Tues and Thurs and Maddie has Pre Ballett and Tap on Tues....in 6 months Sage can do Mommy and me tumble bees....woo hoo Sage !! Off to Bed

Sage's First Birthday

I am a day late....too much celebrating. We took Miss Sage to T rex Cafe for her Birthday ( she loves when they come out clapping and singing ) and then came home opened gifts and had cake. Aunt Bambi had seen a Yo Gabba Gabba cake at the Wal Mart in Sou Pines but no such luck here, only certain stores have that one, has to do with licensing. But she got Back Yardigans ( better pic of cake coming soon ) and was just as happy. She got tons of Yo Gabba Gabba stuff ( Thanks Aunt Bambi ) plus her buggy to ride in.....plus her siblings doted on her all day long. Sadly 4 of us are sick and its hot....Maddie is the worse so pray for no ear infections. I promise more pics of Sage's birthday and Kael's first day are coming but 0630 comes early........

These are so flippin out of order.....that was her look she was given the dinosaur in the pic with Kael ( he sounds like a cow ) after a few mooo's she was his friend.....She loved her Yo Gabba Gabba book as U can see ......and no I have no clue why she has paci in her mouth constantly unless its her way of dealing with teething.....she has 6 trying to break thru the skin.....OUCH

So for Pair day you walk around empty airport hangers with 2500+ other people in 95 degree heat and have vendors, churches and restaurants throw things at ya. There were grocery stores giving away groceries to people ( there was no way I was standing in that line in the heat ), tons of water, enviro grocery bags ( I got 5 ) food, pens, calenders, etc. They are making sure we know they are there ........I found the hospital ( got a bag ) but now I know where the closest ER is that can deal with kids, tons of menus for restaurants I would like to try, I found a town that does Halloween the way it should be done ( Haunted houses everywhere, even a haunted Trolley ) I found the "Plaza like" Mall of Kansas City....we will see about that....I saw Maddie's Pre school, got invited to the church and to join the womens group.....got 2 free weeks at the YWCA....learned there are bowling leagues for 3 year old ( got 5 free games ) met a woman who designs the most beautiful Jewelry ( hello Christmas gifts ) met a wonderful woman who opened a restraunt called Mama Mia's ....can't wait to go. I also learned the diffrence between Judo and Karate ( Judo is non striking ).

It was fun, I learned alot, the kids got tons of candy and toys, I sweated like a pig (lol) and now I'm gonna sleep. We did find out Kael is in Mrs Walsh's class and we will meet her Monday at the open house. Maddie has open house on the 20th and goes to school on the 28th. Miss Sage turns 1 in 4 days ( WHAT ) I got her Buggy and other gifts and we will have a Birthday dinner at T rex cafe ( they celebrate B-days like Chi Chi's and she loved that ) Night Ya'll

Today we headed to Kansas City MO because BOA does not have a Bank that is not 30 to 45 mins away from us so off to MO I go......We got our Sec Dep from our Realtor in Ohio.......friggin $300+ for weeding and mulching.....and then after we had the carpet professionally cleaned and told them the guy said red food dye will NOT COME OUT.....they go out buy resolve and oxy clean and then get this replace the flippin carpet pieces ......WTH???

Ok off the soap box ( for now ....LOL) after the bank we head to Target.....which by the way great deals on clothes and purses.......still can not find Kael's watercolor paint that is on his list, hopefully PX has it. They still have not marked down Outdoor furniture or outdoor toys.....what are they friggin waiting on??? Yesterday we made Mexican Lasgana .....yum !! Kael's Physical is Thursday and Friday we find out who his teacher is......Tomorrow is Farmers Market day downtown......need more maters .....night Ya'll

I have been bad not to blog but it has been busy......We found out the morning of the 30th that Kael got into on post school.....he will be attending Eisenhower Elementary, very beautiful school....and it overlooks the bldg where Brian will be. So we spent all day running around getting all the forms finished and turned in by 3pm......Brian has been busy doing Field Artillery stuff and he still has 2 more days?? They have already told him he will be extremely busy the first couple of months and then it should slow down. So Friday I went school supply shopping with my list......I am still not done, ugh......I also gotta get a lunch box .....what do people pack for lunches now ? Do they carry thermos? My BABY will be gone everyday 8:05 till 3:20.....ugh where did the time go?????? So I started Wii fit everyday and then I walk in the pm....usually with Sage and Maddie follows on her tri cycle ....so Friday I ran 1.5 mile with Wii and then me and the girls walked over a mile.....and I ran barefoot and walked in sandals .....so I was up all night with Charlie horses.....OMG the pain. Yesterday Kael and Maddie went and exchanged Wii and DS games they do not play at Game Stop and they got Wii Sports resort, not a bad deal huh??

So Today ( Sat ) we went to Legends ( outdoor shooping Mall) to use our 30% coupon for Gap and Old navy.....got the kids some school clothes plus Sage, Mommy and Daddy....Then we went to T Rex Cafe which is a HUGE Dinosaur Restraunt ( there are only 2 in the world, Kansas City and Orlando ) owned by Build A Bear company ......so of course there was build a dino.... all 3 got to build their dinos and Kael and Maddie are simply crazy about theirs which I never would have expected but they always surprise me . The huge sculputures that moved and growled kinda scared Sage but after awhile she was ok with it.....she loved when they did B-days ....all servers clapping....she clapped right along ...LOL. I am off to bed......ZZzzzzzzzzz

Before I forget ( again ) Maddie has been doing sooooooooooooooo Good .....she rides her little tri cycle everywhere even up steep hills which before we got here would have been impossible for her with her weak muscles but she has really kept up with the pushing those muscles and we are so proud of her !!!!!!

Went South to a town called Lenexa KS but should have been called Cary or Pinehurst NC.....cookie cutter business all the same color, all the same shape unless it was old or historical.....LOL.....Felt right at home. We got what we needed done at Costco and got some banking done......BOA has a scanner in their ATM's for deposits.....no slip no longer needed and then they print a copy of your check on the receipt.......are all banks like that now???? We just got our new account open with another company ( USAA ) where we get to scan our checks for deposit.....no more running to a bank or mailing....ugh.

I did make it to the on post thrift store the other day, they are only open 3 days a week for 5 hours......I was a little scared at first cause it was junky but then a heard a civiallian tell his wife don't bother with that the good stuff is in the back.....What??? So of course I followed and TA DA.....a thrifty womens dream.......love Junking !!!!! I did hold myself back though....I got a piece of Italian Pottery, Toddler swing for Sage ( which is under the deck ) and Kael a pair of new Levi's for $2........I have not seen alot of Yard Sales or Garage Sales around here.....maybe we got here too late......
